1) How To List
Listing your property is as easy as following these steps:
Step 1. – Enter Personal Info and Property Location
- Enter your personal contact details, this information will be used by buyers to contact you
- These details include
- Home phone (you can choose to have your number hidden)
- Mobile phone (you can choose to have your number hidden)
- Email address (buyers can contact you through this but will not see the exact address)
- Home address (you can choose to have your address hidden)
- Choose a password to manage your property in the admin console
- Enter property location
- Choose state, region and town
- Type in your street name and number
- Choose whether you want you address and phone numbers to display in your ad
Step 2. – Enter Property Details
- Enter your property details
- Land size - in m2 or acres
- House size in m2
- Enter price as a whole number such as 460000
- Choose property construction
- Choose property type
- Choose whether for sale or for auction
- Choose number of bedrooms, bathrooms and garages
- Using the checkboxes choose information on:
- Internal Features
- External Features
- Ammenities within 5km
Step 3. – Upload photos and Write a Title and Description
- Write a brief title for your ad, such as "Beautiful House by the Sea"
- Enter a description for your property, that will outline the best features. Have a look at other listings to get the idea
- Use the browse button to upload up to 5 photo’s of your house
- make sure your photos are no wider than 800 pixels and no larger than 200 kb
- You can download a free image resizer here which will make the process easier
Step 4. – Payment
2) User area
- Everyone who advertises a house or rental/share property will have access to the user area
- The user area will enable you to change any of the information about your ad, including photo’s at any time
- You will also be able to view statistics about your ad which includes:
- How many people have viewed your listing
- How many people have added your property to their 'shortlist'
- View emails that people have sent you
- How Many people have looked at your feature listing
- To log into your user area all you need is your property ID and password which will be emailed to you. Simply go to 'login' enter you property ID and password and you can start managing your ad.
3) Information about your Ad
- Your ad will displayed until you inform us that you have sold the property, or you want your ad withdrawn
- At any time, 24 hours a day, you can change any information in your ad, including photo’s. This is done through the user admin area
- Your listing is available to be viewed by buyers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- You’ll have a unique property ID that can be put on your for sale sign, so people can find your property quickly
- You will have a unique internet address which you can use in any other advertising so that people can view your property by typing that address into their address bar
- You can purchase a personalised for sale sign from this website that will display your contact information and property ID.
- Your ad will display the following information about your property
- Suburb
- Price
- Address
- Phone numbers
- Plus all details you entered during your submission
- You can be contacted by owners from the phone numbers on your listing, or by email which will be linked from your ad (buyers will not see your email address however)
- You can choose to be one of the ‘featured listings’ which appear on the home page, and give your property great exposure. A fee of $20 per week will be charged to become a featured listing.
- You can pay for featured listings and for sale signs using

- Direct deposit
4) Feature Listing
- You can also opt to list your house as a 'Feature Listing' on Ozprivatesale.com.au
- This means that your property will feature on our home page
- To become a Feature Listing simply click on 'Feature Listing' under Listing Options in your user area
- It costs $20/wk (incl. GST) to beomce a feature listing.
- There are 20 token available for Feature Properties, meaning that there can only ever be 20 feature properties in 1 week.
- Feature listings are rotated every time the page is viewed, so your property will get plenty of exposure
5) For Sale Signs
- You can choose to purchase a customised for sale sign for your listing
- The cost for a customised for sale is $49 (incl. GST)
- Payment options for this are

- Money order
- Cheque

Q) How much does the listing cost?
A) The cost of a listing is FREE
Q) How long is my property advertised for?
A) Once listed you property is displayed until sold, or until you contact us and request your ad withdrawn, however you can delete it yourself in the user admin area. We also contact all sellers monthly to ensure their property is still for sale
Q) Can I change the details I have entered about my property?
A) You can change any or all of the details you have entered about your property, including photo’s in the user area. All you need is your property ID and password.
Q) How will buyer's contact me?
A) Your phone number will be displayed on your ad if you choose it to be, along with a button that says ‘email owner’. Buyers can email enquiries to you directly, however they will not see your email address
Q) Is there any commission?
A) There is no commission and no real estate agents. Ozprivatesale.com.au offers you a popular website within which you can advertise your property for private sale. Other than this we take no part in the sale process.
Q) What is the advantage of using Ozprivatesale.com.au over other private sale websites?
A) Most of the private sale websites on the internet are trying to sell ‘private sale packages’ which can be expensive. This means that they do not attract a large number of properties to their website, which means buyers are less likely to visit the website to view properties.
